Because it was not clear why that would be, my law clerk twice reached out to counsel to inquire as to why he had designated the case for White Plains. Counsel did not respond. Upon review, not only does it appear that this case lacks any nexus to the Northern Counties served by the White Plains courthouse, but it lacks any nexus to the Southern District of New York. Plaintiff is located in West Islip in Suffolk County and Defendant is located in Garden City in Nassau County, both within the Eastern District of New York.
