TEXT ORDER: Plaintiff's1 Complaint alleges that venue is proper in this Court. However, it further alleges that Plaintiff is a resident of Iowa, and that she was employed by Defendant Deere & Company at its Moline, Illinois location, which is within the boundaries of Rock Island County. Civil Local Rule 40.1 provides the divisions of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of Illinois in which complaints and subsequent filings will be filed. See Civil LR 40.1(A)-(D). Rock Island County is in the Rock Island Division of this Court. The Complaint does not state, as part of the statement of jurisdiction, the basis for filing in the Peoria Division, nor does the caption of the Complaint identify the division in which this case is pending. See Civil LR 40.1(E), (F). In light of this, Plaintiff is ordered to show cause in writing, by 2/10/2025, why this case should not be transferred to the Rock Island Division of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of Illinois.
