ORDER. Plaintiff has docketed documents that appear to suggest summonses have been served on Defendants in this case, prior to the filing of the complaint. See ECF Nos.1 ,2 , and3 . In federal court, summonses cannot be issued (or served) until the plaintiff requests them from the Clerk's Office. Plaintiff has not requested that the Clerk's Office issue summonses in this case. The Court therefore considers the proofs of service filed at ECF Nos.1 ,2 , and3 , which purport to document service of summonses, invalid, as they cannot be based on summonses issued by the District Court's Clerk's Office. Plaintiff must re-serve Defendants after requesting and receiving summonses from the Clerk's Office. The Court will set a response deadline for Defendants after proof of properly-executed service is filed. Signed by Judge Sarala V. Nagala on 3/19/2025. (Lum, A) |
