![]() ORDER CONSOLIDATING CASES. Plaintiff Hank Berkley, a self-represented inmate detained in the Taylor County Detention Center, filed two separate prisoner civil-rights complaint forms. In each, he challenges his pretrial detention and pending parole-violation charges. As a result, the Court finds that the complaints contain common questions of law or fact, enough that they should be consolidated into one civil action. See Fed. R. Civ. P. 42(a). The Court therefore orders the following: The Clerk is directed to transfer all the present pleadings in No. 1:25-CV-048 to No. 1:25-CV-046. All future filings should bear No. 1:25-CV-046. The Clerk is directed to File a copy of this order in both actions and to administratively close No. 1:25-CV-048. Member case(s) 1:25-cv-048 consolidated with lead case 1:25-cv-046. Member case administratively closed following consolidation. Further docketing should be in lead case 1:25-cv-046. (Ordered by Judge James Wesley Hendrix on 3/26/2025) (amg) |
